| My name's Kimberly, but I usually go by Kim, or you can call me by my pseudonym, Miyako. My best buddies call me Kimby. I live in the U.S., specifically California. I've lived in Mexico once, so i speak spanish, though normally i speak english. My hobbies are writing, drawing, nintendo and reading. I favor fantasy anthologies over other categories. I love nintendo, as i stated. I especially ADORE Zelda. And yes i am a ZeldaXLink fan myself, so up for any Zelink pics and fanfics. But that doesn't mean i simply focus on that pairing. I have read fanfics and seen interesting pics based on different scenes of Zelda games. I am trying to learn to draw Zelda characters because i'm not that good. I usually draw Princess Zelda my own way, meaning that i don't usually draw her in the same traditional pink or purple/white dress she is clad in. When it comes to drawing Link, i try to draw him in a way that looks like himself...of course, because he will look like a different person and that is the last thing i want. My pics are based in OC's also. So if you vist my gallery and see tons of pictures with a girl with dark hair and a guy with a concealed eye...those are my OC's and i adore them big time! Anyway, I came to DA to post my work and see how much I've progressed over time. No, i am not the best artist ever, but that's okay with me because i know i shall improve as i practice. I'm proud of my artwork, so anyone who isn't should be proud of creating unique styles. Everyone has a different style of drawing, a friend once told me. My drawings are mostly based on sketches and lineart. It may seem kind of annoying that i post the same drawings like three times(one sketch, one lineart, one colored, or maybe two pics colored), but i just do that to spot any mistakes and improvements i have made. Therefore, i do not expect people to comment every single drawing of mine, especially the messy sketches i have. I also try to color my drawings using Gimp and Photoshop, i'm also an amateur in that, but i'm progressing quite well (thanks to tutorials and their interesting methods). I really like to experiment with my drawings! I tend to look back at my pics and pic one to color in Gimp. Then i color it differently to see the effects. It's quite interesting seeing the pics colored. I also have some writing talents, which i am hoping to develop over time. I want to be able to describe everything that comes into my mind with detail and use higher vocabulary and not simple words. I'm also working on descriptions and i'm also trying to get more serious about writing. The silliness is over...occasionally! I am mostly a romance, dramatic writer (I really want to stick to drama!), but i really REALLY want to be a fantasy writer no matter how long it takes me to get over my romantic ideas to be able to write a fantasy story like Christopher Paolini! |
